Pool and spa electrical is one of those jobs where there's zero room for shortcuts. Water and electricity don't mix - and when you're talking about a shared community space where people are going to be swimming and relaxing, every single connection has to be right. That's exactly the mindset we brought to this one.

This was a full poolside electrical setup for a new community pool and spa in Longmont. The equipment room alone had a lot going on - pool and spa controls, an electronic water fill system, junction boxes, flex conduit runs, and a unit heater wired in for the mechanical space. Everything had to be organized, properly protected, and installed to code. No cutting corners just because it's tucked away in an equipment room.

Outside, we installed weatherproof emergency shutoff posts right at the pool deck. Those red emergency stop buttons aren't just a code requirement - they're a real safety feature. If something goes wrong in or around the water, anyone nearby can hit that button and cut power immediately. Getting those placed correctly and wired cleanly matters a lot in a setup like this.

Pool electrical has its own set of rules under the NEC, and for good reason. Bonding, GFCI protection, proper burial depths, weatherproof enclosures - all of it has to be done right the first time. We take electrical safety inspections and installations like this seriously because the stakes are high. A job like this isn't just about making things work. It's about making sure they're safe for every person who uses that space.

We're grateful for the trust that goes into handing us a project like this. From the equipment room wiring all the way out to the poolside safety controls, we're proud of how it came together.
